Tell me a bit about yourself & what you do?
My name is Sarah. I am a herbalist, I have my own clinic, working from home, which I absolutely love.
What inspires you with your work?
I love meeting my clients & being able to assist them on their journey to health. I LOVE using herbs as medicine & truly believe in the healing power of nature.
Did you always see yourself in your current role and if you could do something completely
different what would it be?
So straight after school i began studying Psychology & counselling, which i loved, but felt it wasn't the correct path. My parents brought me up using natural medicine, my grandmother is even a naturopath, so I decided to start studying Herbal medicine & to make that my career.
What are you most proud of?
Being married to my best friend & having a close relationship with God, my spirituality is the most important thing in my life.
Who inspires you and why?
I am inspired by other practitioners who have a real passion for helping others.
I didn't study nutrition to the complete, so i love when ones like yourself have that real passion for usinig food as medicine. I am also inspired by my teachers at Nature care college, they really instilled in me a love of herbal medicine.
What does wellbeing mean to you?
It means having a health mindset, doing things daily to continue on the road to health & wellbeing, it means addressing the 6 pillars of health -
- Rejuvenating sleep
- Stress management
- Nutrition
- Exercise - moving your temple
- Water
-Spirituality
What are your favourite ways to move your body?
I love hiking, bush walks, bike riding & playing squash
How do you stay motivated?
Motivation is easy for me. It's more the putting it into practise that i struggle with, so having a to do list for the week is always a good idea to ensure i put the ideas & motivation into practise.
What does a day on your plate look like?
wake up, lemon water, move my body, get my husband's lunch bag ready for work, have a coffee, nutritious breakfast, then into the clinic, seeing clients, making up herbal remedies etc, finishing treatment plans. OF an evening, nutritious dinner & relaxing night either with a book or wholesome movie & a cup of tea of course. Goal is to get into bed by 10pm.
What do you do to relax and unwind?
Listen to music, talk to family or friends, diffuse essential oils, have a cup of herbal tea, go for a nice walk in nature, read a book.
Please share your favourite book or podcast
Difficult question - too many to choose - but favourite podcast would be - Wholistic navigation.
Do you have a favourite travel destination and if so why?
I love Austria & Zermatt Switzerland - I am half Austrian & really feel a connection to that part of the world, plus the nature is stunning & its a hikers paradise.

by?
